PATCHING UP OF NEW HEY ROAD IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH

With regard to the news that only the deteriorating sections of New Hey Road have been patched up, Cllr Chirstine Stanfield (Lib Dem, Lindley Ward) says:

"This is not good enough. A very large sum of money was put into this project, money which could have been spent doing up many crumbling residential roads. But no, the Cabinet decide against that and look what have we got to show for it. A deteriorating and patched "A" Road which is exactly what we started out with in the first place?"
