Colne Valley Councillors have allocated Area Committee funds to pay for 4 new grit bins to be installed at locations around the ward.

The decision was made at The Colne Valley Area Committee on the 7th December 2006.

The new bins will be put at the following locations:

· Junction of Hall Lane & Round Ings Road, Scapegoat Hill

· Binn Road, Marsden

· Slant Gate, Linthwaite

The funds allocated will pay for the bins to be installed and maintained by Kirklees until 2012.

"We have supplied the bins at these locations in response to requests made by local residents" says Cllr Margaret Fearnley (Lib Dem, Colne Valley Ward and chair of the committee) "We hope that those who have approached us will be satisfied with the steps that we have taken on their behalf".
